Our Tennis Professional coordinates group play and drills,
Club tournament matches, inter-club matches, and exchanges. Group and individual instruction are available. All levels of play have active participation by members. "Happy Hackers" and mixed doubles play weekly. Our Adult Programs include Senior Women's State League at the 3.0 level, Women's 3.0 and 3.5 State League teams. Cardio tennis, "Happy Hackers" women's social league, Men's and Women's Drills, Inter-club for women
and many more options to get you on the courts at the Oconomowoc Lake Club.

Also this year we are implementing a new user-friendly online system, Salix Reservations, for you to reserve our courts. In real-time, you will be able to see what courts are available & place reservations, see when courts are being used for lessons or tournaments, weather interruptions, and communicate with other members.

tennis program updates
Jud Shaufler’s 2020 season starts at OLC on Saturday May 23rd.
Jud will be communicating with the membership on drills, leagues etc. and how they will work this season.
Hand sanitizer stations will be located between courts as well as inside the pavilion.
Court reservations will be required, and we ask that you use the new Salix reservation system. Please contact the club for the link to the reservation site.
Please maintain social distancing while in the tennis area.
Disposable gloves are available for members for their non-racket hand.
Tennis balls will be sanitized between use by tennis staff.
Towels will not be available at this time. We ask that whenever possible OLC members bring their own towels and water bottles from home.
The tennis facility including the pavilion along with all high touch areas on the tennis courts, will be cleaned daily with sanitation products.
The tennis staff is adjusting instruction to make sure safe distance can be achieved. The new formatting will be communicated at the first day of play.

There will be a court guest fee charged to the member for any guests that use the tennis courts.

Director of Tennis & Head Pro
Jud Shaufler has coached a number of players who have reached the collegiate level and worked with the
organization of the Milwaukee Tennis Classic. Shaufler was a member of four conference championship squads (1977-80) at Michigan. He claimed a pair of Big Ten singles titles (1977, 1978), won the doubles championship on two occasions (1977, 1979) and helped the Wolverines to a trio of NCAA Championship appearances. He went on to compete at the professional level, eventually earning an ATP ranking.
Shaufler and his wife, Cindy, reside in Bristol, Wisconsin, and the couple has two children, Ashley and Brent. Enjoys boating, home restoration projects and likes to vacation in Door County.
