Who We Are
Julie Bartol
General Manager
Julie (Jules) Bartol has been the General Manager at OLC for six years, bringing over 20 years of experience in private club management. Prior to joining OLC, she was the Club Manager at a country club in Minocqua.
Julie’s main responsibility is overseeing the daily operations of each department, but she is always available to help with any questions—whether it’s about monthly statements, signing up for events, or making dinner reservations.
She is typically on-site Tuesday through Saturday, along with special holidays. Feel free to reach out to Julie for assistance at any time!
James Krause
Beverage & Experience Director
James Krause has been with OLC since March 2017 in multiple positions including overseeing dining rooms, private events, and club events. He applies his years of expertise at Oconomowoc Lake Club, ensuring every member’s experience is unique. While you’ll often find him behind the bar, James is flexible in his role, frequently stepping into areas like private events, the kitchen, and front-of-house operations.
James is always available to assist with any questions regarding the club, including club events, wine lists, special orders, club merchandise or anything else where guidance is needed.
Outside of the club, James enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, biking, playing tennis, and reading.

Haley Richards
Events Director
Haley grew up in Alabama and attended the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!). After college, she moved to Wisconsin for a job, which led her into the world of hospitality and introduced her to her now-husband. With a keen eye for design, Haley loves bringing her clients’ visions to life.
Haley is focused on making Oconomowoc Lake Club the go-to venue for all types of private events, from weddings and rehearsal dinners to corporate meetings. She plans to incorporate the beauty of lake life into each event and collaborate with clients to make every occasion unique. Her goal is to attract guests from beyond the local area, drawing in people from Madison, Green Bay, Racine, and beyond, and make OLC the premier event venue in the region.
When she’s not planning flawless private events, Haley enjoys reading, hiking, trying new dessert recipes, and relaxing with her dog. She also enjoys thrift shopping, watching Alabama football, and attending hockey games.
Nancy Nelson
Executive Chef
Nancy has been the Executive Chef at Oconomowoc Lake Club since February 2016. With 20 years of experience in the service industry, including time at Sanford Restaurant and numerous high-end restaurants in downtown Milwaukee, she brings a wealth of expertise to the club.
At OLC, her main focus is menu creation for the Commodore Room, Dockside, club events, and fine dining wine dinners. Always staying current with culinary trends, she loves adding a creative touch to the club’s offerings. She is also available to assist members in designing personalized menus for special events, accommodating dietary restrictions or allergies to ensure a seamless dining experience.
Sandy Gonyo & Jenny Fetzer
Dining Room Managers
Sandy and Jenny bring years of experience to OLC’s dining experience, ensuring top-notch service for members and guests. Sandy, who joined the club in 2021, has over 40 years in the hospitality industry and a background in event management. Jenny has been part of the OLC team since 2009, working her way through various roles to become a Dining Room Manager.
Together, they handle dining reservations, staff training, and daily dining operations. Their shared commitment to exceptional service ensures a seamless experience for all members.

Tasha Motto
Marketing & Communications Director
Tasha is a Wisconsin native with a background in the wedding industry, having grown up with a photographer mother and a DJ father. Surrounded by creativity and events, she developed a passion for marketing. After college, Tasha freelanced for various companies, helping them improve their brand and online presence.
Tasha is proud to be part of the OLC community and is focused on enhancing member engagement through creative communication. Her goal is to keep members informed and excited about club happenings, strengthen OLC’s online presence, and attract new members. Tasha aims to bring fresh ideas, build strong relationships, and contribute to the club’s ongoing success.
In her spare time, she enjoys exploring state parks, diving into local history, and going on adventures with her husband and two children. A true Jeep enthusiast, Tasha never misses the annual Jeep Invasion Festival in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Katie Trudell &
Jane Schmittinger
Accountant | Bookkeeper
Katie has been the accountant at Oconomowoc Lake Club since 2020, bringing over 15 years of accounting experience. Working remotely, she manages the club’s bookkeeping and financial reporting.
Jane is a bookkeeper at OLC since 2021 and works part time in the office Tuesdays-Thursdays. She is a lifelong resident of Oconomowoc where after raising her family she now volunteers her time at the American Legion Auxiliary & Waukesha County Conservation Alliance (WCCA).
Katie and Jane both share an email to help manage all accounting transactions and provide quick responses to member emails.
